Daly Hill Syndicate Selections - Week 4 (03/12/2016)

A very mixed week for the syndicate last week (well I say mixed but 4 of us got beaten, Billy Bridle in heartbreaking circumstances as Apples Jade got tipped off narrowly). But the hungover Joey Gamble landed a lovely 6/1 winner after, and I quote - 'I''m picking the horse off the top of the card because I couldn't be bothered to look'.
Despite this claim we are sure that Joey knew what he was doing as he surges to the top of the leaderboard to be the only member in the syndicate in profit at the moment. But like they said about Tipperary, there is a long way to go. The lads have been studying and are confident of a few winners this week. I am in still in two minds whether or not to go with my selection but you will hear more about that in a minute.
EDDIE CASINO - GODS OWN - 3.00 SANDOWN - 5/1 WIN
After returning home following his trip to Paris, Eddie Casino has done his usual disappearing act. As the syndicate were too busy to laugh at his funny golf video Mr Casino upped sticks and left the whatsapp group in some sort of weird protest, shouting about 6p Lucky 15 bets as he departed. We had to get in touch with Joey Gamble for his selection this week but he later popped up on twitter as Ronald McDonald in the bushes so we know he is alive at least. His reasoning is that its running into form and likes the ground. Which is probably the most sensible reasoning we have had so far.
THE JETPLANE - ALVARADO - 1.35 AINTREE - 9/1 EACH WAY
After realising that he couldn't claim voluntary redundancy to be a full time gambler as he was too good at his job JJ has been a bit quiet this week. For all we know he could have been losing his a*se betting on National League football but unless he had a winner we wouldn't hear about it. The Jetplane has had a bit of a stinker so far in the challenge so he has plumped to go each way on a 9/1 shot which garnered some raised eyebrows from the syndicate but if it gets him off the mark then so be it. His reasoning behind this selection was 'Solid efforts in Grand Nationals, and 2nd in a Scottish, encouraging run last time out and well worth an EW bet'
JOEY GAMBLE - LOOSE CHIPS - 3.30 SANDOWN - 10/1 WIN
After frequenting what was described as the 'worlds sh*ttest train' to Manchester this week Joey was in his words 'running the north'. Not to sure what he meant by that but if by having room service with a pint was running the north then he certainly achieved that. He has also been a bit quiet this week, we haven't heard about him making anyone cry just yet but we still have a few days left. His selection Loose Chips is an interesting one, there hasn't been a lot of support for it but maybe Joey knows something we don't, simply put 'It will canter through the railway fences' We shall see Joey.
BILLY BRIDLE - ZUBAYR - 2.25 SANDOWN - 6/1 WIN
After the heartbreak of Apples Jade last weekend Billy is 0/3 and looking up at the others in the table. Not that we are too far away mind. Following the news that he doesn't need Nick Knowles to come round his flat with a sledgehammer Billy has been a happy man. Also winning nearly £300 from a £2 accumulator last week put him in a decent mood. Continuing his form of somehow jumping into my head and selecting horses that I like, he has plumped for Zubayr. His reasoning was insulting but well informed ' Missed last week's race for this and it was your pick last week you pr*ck'
MARKET MOVER - COGRY - 1.35 AINTREE - 16/1 EW
Following a week up in Glasgow I haven't been a happy man. Even more so after an absolute shower of a performance from my selection last week. After deciding not to go and see some pub football as Queens Park entertained Montrose I have been determined to land a winner to try and regain the lead off Joey Gamble. Sadly I haven't got a lot of confidence in my selection, my eyes were drawn to it after I backed it when it was brought down in it's previous race. It's on a fair mark and may go well at 16/1 but this is definitely more of a heart than head selection. Now being dragged out for some Xmas shopping with the missus, and trying to make sure we pass a Nandos on route.
Be lucky.
